Job summary

Knox Private Hospital is seeking motivated and detail-oriented CSSD Technicians to join our Central Sterilising Services Department on a casual basis. You will support safe patient care by ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are cleaned, sterilised and supplied to the highest standards.

This is a fast-paced healthcare environment with flexible casual shifts, offering a supportive team and opportunities for training, development and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in CSSD within a hospital setting.
• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services desirable.
• Sound knowledge of sterilisation processes and infection control principles.
• Ability to work across a range of shifts as required.

• Preparing instrument trays and equipment for operating theatres

About the Role

Reporting to the CSSD Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Decontamination, inspection, assembly and sterilisation of reusable medical devices
• Preparing instrument trays and equipment for operating theatres and clinical areas
• Ensuring compliance with infection prevention and sterilisation standards
• Maintaining accurate documentation and tracking processes
• Contributing to a safe, efficient and well-organised department
• Working collaboratively with theatre and clinical teams to support patient care

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous CSSD experience within a hospital setting
• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or working towards) desirable
• Sound knowledge of sterilisation processes and infection control principles
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts as required
• A commitment to quality, safety and excellent customer service
