Job summary

Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking a part-time CSSD Technician to join our perioperative team, on a rotating roster across Monday to Friday for 32 hours per week. Shifts include AM, PM and night rotations.

You will handle thermal disinfection, packaging and sterilising of theatre instrumentation and ensure adherence to AS/NZS AS 5369:2023. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of instrumentation, experience with tracking systems, and be pursuing Cert III in Sterilisation.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of AS 5369:2023.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation.
• Completed or working towards Cert III in Sterilisation.
• Experience with tracking systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer literacy including MS Office and databases.
• Interest in promoting best practice patient care.
• Focus on professional development.

About the role

Brisbane Private Hospital are currently seeking a part-time CSSD Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team working across a rotating roster, 32 hours per week across Monday to Friday. Shifts will include a variety of AM, PM and night shifts on rotational basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
• Comply with AS/NZ standards AS 5369:2023
• Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
• Report and document all quality activities
• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

Brisbane Private is a 181-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 18 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands.
