Job summary

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is seeking a CSSD Supervisor to lead a 13-15 person team across shifts in a high-volume operating environment. You will oversee decontamination, sterilisation and distribution of instruments, ensuring patient safety and infection control to support outstanding surgical care.

You hold a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services with at least three years of hospital CSSD experience, plus strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum three years’ experience working in a hospital CSSD.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Experience with infection control standards and sterilisation processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and support to CSSD staff alongside the CSSD Manager.
• Ensure processing aligns with Aus/NZ187 standards and IFUs.
• Delegate workload to foster teamwork and staff development.
• Manage decontamination, assembly, packaging and sterilizing processes.
• Maintain equipment and monitor chemical usage and inventory.
• Support safety and quality improvement activities.
