NSW Health in Broken Hill is seeking a Sterilisation Technician to prepare, sterilise and disinfect reusable medical and surgical instruments, ensuring safety and infection control within the CSSD team. The role requires a Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services and physical ability for demanding tasks.

• Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services completed and relevant Sterilising/Endoscopy competencies achieved.
• Physical ability for long standing, lifting, pushing and pulling as per Job Demands Checklist.
• Ability to relate well to others and work effectively as a team member.
• Demonstrated interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to apply a problem-solving approach to tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, sterilise, store and thermally disinfect reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment to prevent infection, within a small team under routine supervision.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are safely prepared for use, completing cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and thermal disinfection processes in the CSSD at Broken Hill Health Service.
