Job summary

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) invites applications for a casual role in the Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD). You will help clean and sterilise instruments and ensure equipment is ready for patient care, with opportunity to develop in a supportive hospital environment.

Qualified Instrument Technicians are encouraged to apply, but practical healthcare or similar experience is valued, with a pathway to a Certificate 3 sterilisation qualification in the future.

Qualifications

• Instrument Technician qualification highly regarded but not mandatory.
• Practical experience in healthcare, manufacturing or a similar environment valued.
• Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Sound computer and technical skills and willingness to learn.
• An interest in completing a Certificate 3 sterilisation qualification in the future if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilised and ready when needed.
• Support the CSSD team in daily operations.
• Adhere to recruitment and safety requirements as per BRHS policies.
