Job summary

Funding is a leading financial services company offering bridging, building, and business loans with strong growth on the Gold Coast. We are looking for a full-time Credit Officer to manage loan applications from enquiry through settlement and to support the broader team.

You will review applications, validate information against policy, and liaise with brokers and internal teams to ensure timely settlements. A detail-oriented, communicative, and team-focused candidate will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Experience in loan processing and credit assessment.
• Experience in commercial, construction, or development finance is advantageous.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office; quick to learn new systems.
• Collaborative team player who can support in other areas.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer and broker queries from enquiry to loan approval and settlement.
• Process loan applications up to $10Mil in accordance with policy.
• Review and validate information for accuracy per credit policy.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Credit Officer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Managing and handling customer and brokers queries from initial enquiry through to approval of the loan and settlement.
• Processing loan applications up to $10Mil.
• Reviewing loan applications and validating information for accuracy as per credit policy.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding applications.
• Follow-up on outstanding information and supporting documents, valuation reports, settlement instructions andloan contracts from internal and external stakeholders.
• Inbox and workflow management; and
• Supporting the wider team.

• A high attention to detail.
• Strong background in loan processing, lending, and/or credit assessment.
• Experience in commercial, construction, or development finance highly advantageous.
• Impeccable communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• ProficientwithMS suite and capable of learning new systems with ease.
• Team player - not afraid to get stuck in and help in other areas of the business when needed.
• Enthusiasm, focus and structure with strong organisational skills.
