Job summary

Blue Collar Money is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join its mortgage broking team. You will own credit analysis and loan structuring from initial strategy to submission, working with the broker and a support admin staff member.

Successful candidates will have deep knowledge of Australian residential lending, complex investment lending, and income structures (self-employed, company, and trust). The role offers autonomy, teamwork, and a path to contribute to building Australia’s #1

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Australian residential lending and mortgage broking.
  • Strong knowledge of lender policies and servicing assessments.
  • Ability to structure complex purchases, refinances and investment lending.
  • Experience with self-employed, company and trust income, tax returns and financial statements.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple files with high accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex residential lending scenarios and recommend suitable lender options.
  • Complete servicing assessments across multiple lenders.
  • Research and interpret lender credit policies for loan structuring.
  • Structure purchases, refinances, equity releases and investment lending.

  • Identify credit risks before submission and prepare credit notes.

About the role ?

We’re looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to join our growing mortgage broking team. This role suits someone who loves solving complex lending scenarios, understands lender policy inside out, and takes pride in getting the structure right before an application reaches the lender.

You won’t simply process applications. You’ll take ownership of the credit analysis and loan structuring behind each deal, working closely with our main broker and a support admin staff member.

The role As our Credit Analyst, you’ll be responsible for assessing, structuring and preparing residential lending applications from initial strategy through to submission. You won’t be doing this on your own. You’ll be backed by one of our support team members, who’ll step into your role when you’re away. In turn, you’ll play a key part in training and supporting our current support staff to we work as one connected team, not in silos.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing complex residential lending scenarios and recommending suitable lender and product options
  • Completing servicing assessments across multiple lenders
  • Researching and interpreting lender credit policies
  • Structuring purchases, refinances, equity releases and investment lending
  • Reviewing PAYG, self-employed, company and trust income, including tax returns and financial statements
  • Reviewing existing loan structures and property portfolios
  • Identifying credit and policy risks before submission
  • Preparing clear credit notes and application strategies, and packaging high-quality applications for submission
  • Working with lender BDMs and credit teams on complex scenarios
  • Reviewing applications for accuracy, compliance and credit quality, and managing approval conditions
  • Providing training and support to our current support staff, helping the whole team grow
  • Helping improve our internal credit processes and systems
What we’re looking for

What we’re looking for You’ll have strong experience in Australian residential lending, either within mortgage broking or banking. You should be comfortable receiving a client file and independently working through:

  • Strong residential lending experience, with excellent knowledge of Australian lender policies
  • Advanced servicing and borrowing capacity skills, including complex investment lending
  • Strong understanding of self-employed borrowers, and company and trust structures
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Confidence dealing directly with lenders, BDMs and credit teams
  • High personal accountability
  • The ability to manage multiple files without sacrificing quality Experience with AFG Flex, Broker Engine ,Apply Online , Quickli would be highly regarded.
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking would also be highly regarded and or looking to progress into a broker role.
  • Bonus points if you have a trade or have worked FIFO or have worked with FIFO or Tradie's before
