Job summary

Entropico is seeking a Lead Creative Technologist with expertise in generative AI, automation, and hybrid post-production pipelines. You will lead the technical execution of AI-integrated assets and guide the strategy for applying creative technology across the business.

You will bridge creative teams, clients and executives, architect custom applications, automate studio infrastructure, and mentor internal teams to elevate the production ecosystem while staying ahead of AI trends.

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Creative Technologist experienced in generative AI platforms, custom workflow automation, and hybrid post-production pipelines. In this role, you will lead the technical execution of AI-integrated commercial brand assets while directing the strategy for the application of creative technology across the business.

Beyond hands-on AI execution, you will act as a pivotal bridge between creative teams, technical specialists, clients, and executive leadership. You will architect custom applications, automate studio infrastructure, establish standard operating procedures, and mentor internal teams to elevate our entire production ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the creative design and technical build of AI-driven commercial assets, guiding other creative technologists and technical experts to deliver high-impact results across the organisation.
• Assist with the creative development of high-volume campaigns and commercial brand assets by translating client briefs into effective generative AI production strategies across video, image, audio, and animation.
• Optimise hybrid creative workflows that seamlessly blend traditional offline/online editing (VFX, 2D/3D animation, color grading, or audio mixing) with AI tools.
• Architect and optimise complex pipelines using advanced methodologies to maximise the accuracy of AI outputs whilst ensuring consistent, brand-compliant aesthetic outputs.
• Strengthen feedback loops across QA, product, and model training to improve consistency, reliability, and usability of AI-generated content.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with AI tools, including resolving issues with rendering, continuity, upscaling, and frame-rate conversion.
• Write, launch and support custom scripts, microservices, and internal applications to automate repetitive production tasks, data tracking, and post-production pipelines.
• Build lightweight internal apps, custom UIs, and plugins to streamline creative interaction with technology, particularly generative AI.
• Communicate complex AI strategies, technical possibilities, and limitations clearly to non-technical stakeholders, executives, and clients.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, prompt libraries, workflow schematics, and code repositories to ensure business continuity and asset control.
• Develop training materials and lead company-wide workshops to upskill editors, animators, producers, and account teams on AI capabilities and studio software.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI research, post-production tech, and industry trends to advocate for forward-thinking tools and methodologies across the business.

Experience & Skills

• 8–10+ years of combined experience across creative production, post-production, and technical engineering, including at least 3 years of hands-on custom software/pipeline coding and 2+ years actively architecting Generative AI pipelines for commercial purposes. Must have 2+ years of experience managing teams and interfacing directly with executive leadership or clients.
• Expert-level mastery of current generative AI platforms across video, imagery, and audio/voice, with particular emphasis on Google AI Studio tools and node-based generation engines such as Flora and Comfy UI.
• Proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C++, with experience building scripts, working with REST APIs
• Deep technical understanding of prompt engineering and model tuning to achieve specific, repeatable visual styles.
• Strong base of knowledge of traditional Post Production processes, including offline editing, VFX pipelines, graphics, color grading, and mastering.
• Demonstrated experience with design and animation projects with a high volume of digital assets and iterative feedback rounds on short timeframes.
• Detail-oriented & highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple project milestones and deadlines simultaneously.
• Sufficient troubleshooting skills and initiative to solve complex creative and technical problems where no established blueprint exists.
• Exceptional communication skills; able to demystify complex AI technologies for clients and command both senior staff and internal technical teams.
