Job summary

Lutheran Services in Wahroonga Aged Care, Biloela invites applications for a Creative Lifestyle Coordinator. You will design and run client-centred activities, lead group and individual programs, and foster community connections to enhance resident wellbeing and engagement.

The role requires creativity, organisation and a passion for working with older people, with responsibilities spanning coordination, supervision and direct care when needed.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Lifestyle, Leisure, Arts, Drama, Dance, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy or a related field.
• Experience designing and facilitating activities and events for individuals and groups.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to lead, support and supervise a team.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Queensland Driver’s Licence.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a client-centred lifestyle and creative activities program.
• Design activities around residents’ interests, abilities, cultural backgrounds and personal preferences.
• Lead individual and group activities, events and creative programs.
• Evaluate activities and make improvements based on resident feedback.
• Build connections with the local community to create new opportunities for residents.
• Lead and coordinate our volunteer program, including recruitment, orientation, training and support.
• Supervise and support Creative Lifestyle Facilitators and volunteers.
• Maintain records and reports to support quality service delivery and accreditation requirements.
• Work closely with residents, families, Care Managers, Service Managers and the wider team.
• Provide direct care activities when required.
