Job summary

Lutheran Services Wahroonga Aged Care in Biloela is seeking a Creative Lifestyle Coordinator to lead client-centred lifestyle and creative activities, tailored to residents’ interests and backgrounds. You will supervise volunteers and Creative Lifestyle Facilitators, coordinate events, and collaborate with Care Managers and families to support wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Lifestyle, Leisure, Arts, Drama, Dance, Music Therapy or related field.
• Experience designing and facilitating activities for individuals and groups.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Queensland Driver’s Licence.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a client-centred lifestyle and creative activities program.
• Design activities around residents’ interests, abilities, cultural backgrounds and personal preferences.
• Lead individual and group activities, events and creative programs.
• Evaluate activities and make improvements based on resident feedback.
• Build connections with the local community and create new opportunities for residents.
• Lead and coordinate our volunteer program, including recruitment, orientation, training and support.
• Supervise and support Creative Lifestyle Facilitators and volunteers.
• Maintain records and reports to support quality service delivery and accreditation requirements.
• Work closely with residents, families, Care Managers and the wider team.
• Provide direct care activities when required.

Education

Relevant qualification in Lifestyle, Leisure, Arts, Drama, Dance, Music Therapy, Occupational Therapy or related field
