Job summary

Engineeringtradesaustralia is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers for a large-scale iron ore operation based at Cape Preston in the Pilbara. FIFO from Perth applies with a 2:1 roster.

You will operate mobile cranes and Franna pick-and-carry units, perform lift planning, pre-start checks, and assist shutdown activities while upholding safety standards and working with tradespeople and maintenance crews.

Qualifications

• High Risk Work Licence – Non-slewing Mobile Crane (CN).
• High Risk Work Licence – Elevated Work Platform (WP).
• Working at Heights certificate.
• Confined Space Entry certificate.
• Construction White Card.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Ability to remain clean shaven and wear a respirator mask (3M 7500).

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes and Franna pick-and-carry units across maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Lift and position equipment and components alongside rigging crews.
• Complete pre-start checks and daily plant inspections.
• Maintain safe exclusion zones and follow approved lift plans.
• Support shutdown activities and perform rigging tasks as directed.
• Work collaboratively with tradespeople and the wider maintenance team.
• Follow site procedures and maintain a strong commitment to safety.

Our client is seeking experienced Crane Operators / Riggers to join a large-scale iron ore operation based at Cape Preston in the Pilbara.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing FIFO work and join an established maintenance and shutdown team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, consisting of one week of day shift, one week of night shift and one week off.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating mobile cranes and Franna pick-and-carry units across maintenance and shutdown activities

• First Aid / CPR
• Previous FIFO or fixed-plant experience
