Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Council Operations Support Officer to join our team in Katherine. The Council Operations Support Officer is responsible for coordinating the maintenance, servicing, registration, insurance, and day-to-day management of Council's fleet vehicles, plant, and operational equipment. The role also provides administrative support across assets, roads, buildings, contracts, and waste management functions.
This diverse and hands-on position offers the opportunity to work across fleet management, asset administration, contractor coordination, and operational support, ensuring no two days are the same.

As a Council Operations Support Officer, no two days are exactly the same. Your role is at the centre of Council's fleet and operational support functions, ensuring vehicles, equipment, and administrative processes run efficiently to support service delivery across the region.
You will regularly work with Council staff, managers, contractors, insurers, and service providers to resolve issues, coordinate projects, and achieve positive operational outcomes .
The ideal candidate is a highly organised and proactive professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering efficient operational and administrative support.
You will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
The successful applicant will be committed to delivering high-quality customer service, fostering positive working relationships, and supporting the efficient operation of Council's fleet, assets, and operational services. Experience in fleet management, asset administration, budgeting, or contractor coordination will be highly regarded.
Proven experience in administration, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records in a busy operational environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Experience or knowledge in fleet management, asset administration, contractor coordination, or budgeting will be highly regarded.
