Launch Recruitment - IT Recruiting is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to support project cost management, forecasting, reporting and financial controls across a portfolio of projects. The role involves close collaboration with Project Managers and Finance teams to ensure accurate accruals and timely financial information.

• Experience as Cost Controller or similar role.
• Strong project cost control and forecasting experience.
• Experience with accruals and variance analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Complete monthly accrual processes within Finance deadlines.
• Complete month-end forecasting and reporting within required deadlines.
• Prepare and update financial variance reports and MPR reporting.
• Conduct regular meetings with Project Managers to obtain accruals, trends and forecasts.
• Analyse monthly cost variances and provide explanations for movements and trends.
• Maintain monthly Cost Books and ensure they are saved in SharePoint.
• Create and facilitate PRs and POs for responsible projects and areas.
• Support PMs with AFEs to ensure timely funding release.
• Assist with ACP, CSRA and PER processes as required.
• Manage PO and project closures to support financial housekeeping and capitalisation.
• Maintain and update AFE and WBS registers as AFEs progress.
• Ensure high data accuracy across all financial and project reporting.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our client’s team. This role will be responsible for supporting project cost management, forecasting, reporting and financial controls across a portfolio of projects.

Role Responsibilties:

• Complete monthly accrual processes within Finance deadlines
• Complete month-end forecasting and reporting within required deadlines
• Prepare and update financial variance reports and MPR reporting
• Conduct regular meetings with Project Managers to obtain the latest information on accruals, trends and forecasts
• Analyse monthly cost variances and provide clear explanations for movements and trends
• Maintain monthly Cost Books and ensure they are completed and saved in SharePoint
• Create and facilitate PRs and POs for responsible projects and areas
• Support Project Managers with the preparation and submission of AFEs to ensure timely funding release
• Assist with ACP, CSRA and PER processes as required
• Manage PO and project closures to support good financial housekeeping and project capitalisation
• Maintain and update AFE and WBS registers as new AFEs progress
• Ensure a high level of data accuracy across all financial and project reporting

About You:

• Previous experience in a Cost Controller, Project Cost Controller, Project Accountant or similar role
• Strong experience with project cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
• Experience working closely with Project Managers and Finance teams
• Strong understanding of accruals, forecasting and variance analysis
