Job summary

Ferrovial Services Australia in Woodlands NSW is seeking a Cost Control Specialist to support cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting across complex projects. You will develop tools, manage cost data, coordinate with procurement, engineering and finance, and deliver accurate financial information for project teams.

A 4-year engineering degree and 3–5 years in project controls are required; office-based role with periodic site visits.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Basic engineering knowledge in civil.
• 3–5 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost control, construction systems, or data management.
• Proficient PC skills including in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
• Organizational and time management skills; good communication and relationship building.
• Office‑based role with periodic field or regional office visits.

Responsibilities

• Understand estimating, engineering, procurement, construction terminology and relationships.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and unit conversions.
• Maintain spreadsheets for tracking work and materials; produce production reports/logs.
• Develop and maintain cost control tools and dashboards for project status.
• Support budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis with procurement, engineering and finance.
• Create presentations and executive summaries on cost status and risks.
• Assist with audits related to document management and procedural compliance.
