Job summary

G&M Cosmetics Pty. Limited in Melbourne is seeking a Cosmetic Compounder / Mixing Operator to join our manufacturing team. You’ll follow approved formulations, weigh materials and operate mixing equipment to produce creams and lotions in a GMP/QMS environment.

The successful candidate will complete hands-on training at our Sydney facility before transitioning to Melbourne, with a permanent, full-time role in a structured, supportive manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Holder of a current Forklift Licence (LF) and comfortable with manual handling.
• Experience in compounding, mixing or batch manufacturing is preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP, QMS and batch documentation practices.
• Reliable, practical and hands-on with a safety-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel to Sydney for initial training.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture skincare products according to approved formulations and GMP/QMS standards.
• Accurately weigh and prepare raw materials for production.
• Operate mixers, blenders, homogenisers and other equipment safely.
• Monitor temperatures and timings; complete batch records per procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene; report deviations or faults promptly.

We're looking for a Cosmetic Compounder / Mixing Operator to join our manufacturing team in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will complete initial hands-on training at our Sydney manufacturing facility before transitioning to the Melbourne site.

The Role

As a Cosmetic Compounder / Mixing Operator, you'll play a key role in the manufacturing of skincare and cosmetic products.

You will be responsible for following approved formulations and manufacturing instructions, weighing and preparing raw materials, and operating mixing, blending, heating, cooling and other production equipment to manufacture cosmetic batches such as creams and lotions.

You’ll work closely with the Production and Quality teams to ensure every batch is manufactured safely, accurately and consistently in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, approved procedures and quality standards.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, practical, willing to learn and happy to take a hands-on approach to the role.

What You’ll Do

• Manufacture skincare and cosmetic products according to approved formulations, procedures, GMP requirements and QMS standards
• Accurately weigh, measure and prepare raw materials for production
• Add ingredients according to approved batch manufacturing instructions
• Operate mixers, blenders, homogenisers and other production equipment safely
• Monitor mixing time, temperature, heating and cooling processes during production
• Follow batch sheets and complete manufacturing records accurately and in accordance with GMP documentation requirements
• Follow hygiene, cleaning, line clearance and contamination-control procedures
• Ensure equipment, utensils and work areas are cleaned and maintained according to approved procedures
• Move raw materials and bulk products around the facility
• Operate a forklift as required – current LF licence essential
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe manufacturing environment
• Identify and report quality issues, deviations, safety hazards or equipment faults
• Follow approved procedures and elevate any non-conformance or production issue promptly
• Support the production team and assist with other manufacturing tasks as required

Who You Are

• Holder of a current Forklift Licence (LF)
• Previous experience in compounding, mixing, batch manufacturing, production or processing
• Experience in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, chemical or food manufacturing industry is preferred
• Previous experience working in a GMP-controlled manufacturing environment is highly regarded
• Good understanding of GMP, hygiene, cleanliness, traceability and accurate production documentation
• Comfortable following formulas, batch sheets, SOPs and manufacturing instructions precisely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to take responsibility for your work
• Practical, hands-on and willing to assist with different production tasks when required
• A team player with good communication skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment
• Safety-conscious with good housekeeping habits
• Willing to learn and develop your manufacturing skills
• Speaking Chinese is a plus but not essential
• Able and willing to travel to Sydney for initial training
