Opportunity

We are looking for a Corrosion Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. The role offers a career path focused on corrosion science within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Onsite condition assessment of water industry assets such as pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants and network assets (pump stations).
  • Electrochemical testing of soils and water.
  • Preparation and review of durability plans.
  • Failure analysis of events: investigating causes and developing solutions to prevent future defects.
  • Writing clear and concise reports to communicate findings to clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in materials, civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for learning and mentoring junior team members.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites across NSW, as needed.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Experience with ROV and/or RPAS is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of risk management and design‑related risk identification.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to HSEQ systems.
