AFL Recruitment Pty Ltd client, a leading international law firm in Melbourne, seeks an experienced Corporate/M&A/TMT transactional lawyer. You will advise on a broad spectrum of matters including capital raisings, private M&A, governance, data privacy, licensing and digital content distribution, across fintech, tech and media sectors.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years post-admission, strong drafting and client-management skills, and a pragmatic, business-focused approach to complex deals.

Qualifications

• Qualified corporate/M&A and/or TMT lawyer with Australian admission.
• Minimum 2+ years post-admission experience in the listed practice areas.
• Strong drafting, research, negotiation, and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Advising on capital raisings, private M&A, governance, JVs, partnerships.
• Handling data privacy, licensing, distribution of digital content.
• Providing practical commercial advice to startups and established clients.

WHO YOU ARE

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

• Are a corporate/M&A/venture capital lawyer AND/OR TMT/commercial transactional lawyer admitted in Australia (or overseas lawyer qualified in an English common law country undergoing local conversion);
• Have minimum 2+(or more) years POST-admission experience in a corporate/M&A and/or TMT practice with a 1st/2nd-tier/leading specialist boutique firms;
• have strong technical legal skills (drafting/research/analytical/negotiation)+ strong commercial acumen+ ability to provide practical relevant advice;
• proven ability to manage client relationships+ meet deadlines;
• are committed to your own success (professionally+personally)+ wish to work with, learn from and be inspired by industry-leading passionate professionals.
