Job summary

Maddocks is a leading Australian law firm seeking an enthusiastic Legal Assistant to support two Partners in the Corporate Commercial practice. You will help keep the Partners and lawyers organized and successful, while building relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm.

With 4+ years in a similar private practice role, you will be highly organised, proactive and tech-savvy, comfortable in a fast-paced environment and capable of juggling multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years of experience in a similar role within a private practice law firm.
• Strong work ethic and enthusiasm.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage calendars, meetings and travel arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Managing complex calendars, meetings and travel arrangements.
• Preparing correspondence, documents and client communications.
• File and matter management, including opening files and maintaining records using iManage.
• Billing, client reporting and expense processing.
• Assisting with the preparation of pitches, presentations and business development activities.
• Managing competing priorities and providing proactive administrative support.
• Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting lawyers with the efficient use of technology and AI-enabled tools.
