Job summary

Day One Recruitment seeks a senior corporate lawyer to join a premier Australian firm’s Brisbane Corporate team. You will work on high‑profile M&A, joint ventures, and capital market matters within a large practice supported by six Corporate Partners.

Applicants with 3+ years in Public/Private M&A, PE, ECM, or Corporate Advisory, and background in private practice or in-house roles, are encouraged to apply; a collaborative team member is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience within Public and/or Private M&A, Private Equity, Equity Capital Markets and/or Corporate Advisory.
• private practice experience, gained at a reputable law firm in Australia or overseas;
• relevant in-house backgrounds will also be considered;
• candidates with stronger commercial law experience and less corporate skills will also be considered;
• be a collaborative team member.

Job description

Our client is a premier Australian firm with clients from both the public and private sector. Our client has plenty to offer their next hire as they will be supported to build their profile in this large Corporate team of 30 team members. The six Corporate Partners are trusted advisors and the team is well-resourced.

The successful candidate will have started to gain experience with joint ventures, asset and company acquisitions and disposals, capital raisings for both listed and unlisted clients and an understanding of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and general corporate compliance.
