Job summary

Glencore Australia in Townsville, Queensland, seeks a Refinery Operator (Refinery Circulator RO2) for the Circulation Department. You will operate and monitor the electrolyte circulation system and related plants to support copper cathode production, within a 4/4 day and night roster.

Reporting to the Supervisor Circulation, the role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance and reliable plant performance in a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mineral processing, metallurgical or heavy industrial plant equipment.
• Ability to work in a control room environment with DCS/SCADA exposure.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, control and monitor electrolyte circulation system and related plants.
• Maintain safe and efficient production with environmental compliance.
• Report issues and support maintenance systems.
• Ensure high housekeeping and participate in continuous safety improvements.
