Job summary

Baw Baw Shire Council invites applications for a Coordinator Environment. You will lead a dedicated Environment and Sustainability team, delivering strategic programs, environmental initiatives and climate change responses across the Shire in a hybrid work environment.

You will provide specialist advice across Council, oversee environmental performance reporting, manage budgets and contracts, and build strong partnerships with community, industry and government stakeholders to drive sustainable

About the Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, ecology, sustainability, natural resource management or a related field.
• Strong experience leading teams and delivering environmental or sustainability programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, project management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, policy and contemporary practice.
• Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, reporting and governance.
