The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking two Coordinator Complaints to commence ASAP. Based in East Perth, the roles focus on administering misconduct complaints, classifications and monitoring within established timeframes and quality standards.
Successful candidates will contribute to investigations management, implement policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement in complaints handling and child protection processes.
We currently have the following positions available, commencing ASAP:
The Standards and Integrity Directorate, within the Professional Standards and Conduct Division, is responsible for the assessment and management of complaints in accordance with the Complaints and Notifications Policy. The Directorate oversees investigations into staff disciplinary matters, conducts reviews into child deaths and serious incidents, and monitors compliance with Working with Children Check requirements for departmental employees.
The Coordinator Complaints assists in the administration of misconduct complaints against staff, including assessments and classification of allegations, recording and monitoring of Local Improvement Actions. They assist in the management of the Directorate’s investigation management system, ensuring complaints are recorded, classified, monitored and resolved in accordance with the established timeframes and quality standards. The successful candidates will undertake projects that support continuous improvement in complaints management, child protection, conduct and integrity policies within the Department. Within their roles they will assist in implementing plans, strategies and policies to ensure complaints and investigations are handled in accordance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
