Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare seeks an experienced leader to oversee our OSHC service at St Pius Catholic Primary School, Banyo. You will direct daily operations, inspire a large team of educators, and create engaging, play-based programs for children.

You'll collaborate with families and the school community while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and maintaining a high level of care and safety. An emphasis on staff development and program excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children's Services or ACECQA equivalent.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and First Aid/ CPR.
• Mandatory National Child Training completion prior to commencement.
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and National Law/Regulations.
• Experience in OSHC education and care.
• Child protection training required.
• Proficiency with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
• Strong workplace communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs.
• Lead and support a large team of educators to deliver quality care.
• Develop and implement play-based programs aligned with children's interests.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the school community.

Located on the grounds of St Pius Catholic Primary School, Banyo, our OSHC service is one of our largest and most established services, delivering before school care, after school care and vacation care to a thriving school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operation of our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs, ensuring a safe and enriching environment.
• Lead a dedicated team of educators, inspiring and supporting them to bring out their best.
• Develop and implement innovative, play-based programs that cater to our children's interests and needs.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the school community, fostering a sense of belonging.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of care and safety.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA equivalent)
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
• Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
• Experience in the education and care of children (OSHC).
• Child protection training is a requirement for this role
• Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
• Effective workplace communication
• Leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team
