Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America is seeking a passionate and reliable Cook to join our team at Bexley Village on a part-time basis. If you enjoy preparing great food, working as part of a supportive team and making a positive difference in the lives of older people, we’d love to hear from you!

The available shifts are Thursday and Friday mornings. You’ll prepare nutritious meals, follow food safety practices, maintain a clean kitchen, and collaborate with kitchen and care teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen; aged care or healthcare experience is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP and workplace health and safety principles.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with kitchen teams in a care setting.

What you’ll do

As a Cook, you’ll play an important role in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents, their families and visitors. Working closely with our kitchen and care teams, you’ll help create enjoyable dining experiences while ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently and with care.

What you’ll bring

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen, with aged care or healthcare experience highly regarded.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP and workplace health and safety principles.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in aged care or a similar environment.
• Availability to work Thursday and Friday morning shifts.
