Job summary

WA Health is seeking a Cook to provide nutritional meals to patients and residents in line with Health Department Policy and guidelines. The role includes maintaining a Food Safe environment and training catering staff in safe food handling, with duties around ordering and storage of foodstuffs and working with multiple departments.

You will be part of a permanent part-time appointment, 48 hours per fortnight, in a busy kitchen environment within the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) framework.

• Work effectively in a small team, communicate clearly and support with day to day kitchen operations in a busy kitchen.

This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 48 hrs per fortnight.

Position Profile:

We are seeking a Cook to provide nutritional meals to patients and residents in line with Health Department Policy/guidelines, and to Maintain a "Food Safe" environment and be responsible to ensure the catering staff are trained in safe food handling and to comply with same. This position is also responsible for ordering and storage of food stuffs and to liaise and work in conjunction with all departments of the unit.
