Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a Cook in Queensland to join a compassionate kitchen team dedicated to delivering high-quality meals for residents. You will work with the Chef to support kitchen management and tailor menus to meet individual needs, ensuring nutritious, delicious meals that enhance resident well-being.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, strong communication and documentation skills, and experience in a commercial kitchen.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required and must be valid.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen; aged care experience is highly regarded.
• Ability to manage diverse dietary needs in line with residents’ social, spiritual and cultural requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen management alongside the Chef.
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Ensure residents receive healthy, nutritious and delicious meals.

As Cook you’ll:

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
• A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
