Malek Group Pty Ltd in Maroubra is seeking a capable and passionate Casual Childcare Cook for a 60-place Long Day Care Centre. The role involves cooking or menu planning, five days a week, for young children, including infants and toddlers.

Our centres emphasize education, nutrition and community; you will maintain kitchen hygiene, manage stock and budget, and contribute to child health through nutritious meals. A Working with Children Check is required.

Qualifications

• Must have cooking or menu planning experience.
• Working with Children Check is required.
• Experience cooking for children in a daycare setting is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Cooking and preparing meals, 5 days a week for 60 children
• Preparing meals for infants and toddlers (puree food)
• Maintaining the hygiene standards in the kitchen
• Maintaining a cleaning schedule in the kitchen
• Liaise with the Centre Director regarding stock of food
• Ordering of weekly produce and groceries
• Maintaining a budget
• Promoting good nutrition to children through cooking experiences and lessons
• You'll be invited to join in our networking meeting with other cooks twice a year during work hours. We understand the importance of a work/ home balance and aim at supporting yours.
