Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Shift flexibility and weekend availability.
• Australian Citizens/PR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and update menu items.
• Operate kitchen solo during shift.
• Prepare and cook dishes to established recipes.
• Collaborate with front-of-house for smooth service.
• Maintain portioning and stock rotation.
• Ensure high standards of food presentation.

• Assist in training junior kitchen staff.

Job description

We are in search of an ambitious Cook with aspirations to make their way up the ladder. If you are self-motivated & well organised individual who loves to work in fast paced fun environment, then we would like to hear from you.

The successful applicants will:

• Experience or a passion for menu creation.
• Work and operate a kitchen on your own during your shift
• Support breakfast, all-day dining, and/or light evening service depending on shift.
• Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain the portioning food levels.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to high standards.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Assist Head chef with inventory, stock rotation, and kitchen organization.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
• Regulating temperature for different cooking equipment(grill/oven).

Position-Full Time (38hours/week)

Salary-$75,000 to $80,000 a year plus Super

Experience - Minimum 1-2 years

Qualification -Cert 3 in commercial Cookery or equivalent

Preference will be given to Australian Citizens/PR
