Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team in Queensland. You will work with the Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, tailor meals to residents’ needs, and ensure nutritious, delicious options are always available.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, have strong communication and documentation skills, and experience in a commercial kitchen. Aged care experience is highly regarded, with a focus on diverse dietary requirements.

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen; aged care experience preferred.

About the Role

As Cook you’ll:

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
• A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
