Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team in Queensland. You will collaborate with the Chef to manage kitchen operations, tailor meals to residents’ needs, and ensure nutritious, delicious dining experiences across our homes.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear documentation, and delivering high standards of service in a caring aged care setting. Prior kitchen experience, especially in aged care, is valued.

Qualifications

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Great communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred, aged care experience highly regarded.
• Experience with a broad range of cuisines and dietary needs of residents.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management.
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Ensure residents receive healthy, nutritious and delicious meals.
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience.

As Cook you’ll:

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
• A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
