Minor Hotels’ Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort is seeking a passionate Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will prepare ingredients, cook meals to high standards, and ensure plates look great for guests.

The role includes breakfast shifts, a rotating roster, overtime rates, uniforms, and free onsite parking, with hourly rates starting at $34.96/day and higher on weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays.

Job Description

Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resortare looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team on acasualbasis.

This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard, and helping deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Brekafast Shifts
• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• No split shifts required
• Two consecutive days off each week
• Overtime and penalty rates
• Uniforms provided
• Free onsite parking

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $34.96 per hour

Saturday: $41.96 per hour

Sunday: $48.95 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
