Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a casual Cook to join our kitchen team in Sydney, delivering fresh, nutritious meals to residents. You will work with the Chef to support kitchen operations, tailor meals to individual needs, and help ensure a high standard of dining experience across our homes.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, strong communication, and experience in a commercial kitchen. Aged care experience is highly regarded and diverse cuisines are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred (Aged care highly regarded).
• Ability to tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen management alongside the Chef.
• Prepare and tailor meals to meet resident needs.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, healthy, and delicious.

About the Role

Casual position only

Helping create a home residents love, you'll take pride in delivering service standards that are of the highest level. Utilising your exceptional skills and your passion for delivering fresh and wholesome meals, we believe you will fit right in.

As Cook you'll:

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Ensure our residents are provided with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the broader kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

You'll be a real team player who has:

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Great communication and documentation skills
• Some experience within a commercial kitchen (Aged care highly regarded)
• A healthily amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines, dietary requirements in response to social, spiritual & cultural needs of our residents
