Alchemy Polish Resturant in Sydney is seeking a skilled cook to prepare traditional Polish meals, ensuring top quality in taste and presentation. Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional events, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery and have at least 2 years of relevant experience with qualification, or 3 years without formal education. Strong food safety and time-management skills are essential.

• Assist with basic stock control and minimise food wastage.
• Adhere to WHS and safe food-handling practices at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibility

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of traditional Polish meals according to menus or instructions.
• Ensuring food is cooked and presented to standard.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations in all kitchen activities.
• Storing ingredients properly and handling food safely.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, cooking surfaces, and food preparation areas.
• Assisting with basic stock control and minimising food wastage.
• Adhering to WHS and safe food-handling practices at all times.

Work hours will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional requirements outside standard hours for special events.

The position will report to the Operations Manager.

Education

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

• A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or other relevant qualification.
• At least 2 year of relevant experience with qualifications, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal education.
