Job summary

G8 Education is seeking a Part-time Cook at Jannali Kinder Haven 2 to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for up to 36 children daily. The role is 27.5 hours per week with Monday–Friday shifts.

You will handle menu planning, budgeting, stock control, and ensure dietary and safety standards are met in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience planning menus and budgeting for childcare meals.
• Ability to manage stock, ordering and cost control.
• Awareness of dietary and allergy safe requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen per food safety regulations.
• Team player with good communication; available Mon-Fri.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Jannali Kinder Haven 2 to produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 36children each day.

This role is Part-Time working 27.5 hours per week.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 36children with operating hours from 7:00am - 6:00pm.

Our menus meet nutritional guidelines and are high-quality, allowing young bodies to thrive both mentally and physically. As part of the Team, you will feel appreciated, valued and enjoy a truly supportive and fun work environment.

About You

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
• A current Working with Children’s Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid
• Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
