Job summary

BlueCare Kirra Haven Aged Care Facility on the Gold Coast is seeking a part-time Cook to deliver a high-quality, resident-centred dining experience. You will prepare, cook and present meals aligned with corporate menus and dietary needs, working under the Home Services Lead and alongside the Chef.

You will ensure meals respect IDDSI, allergens and texture-modified needs, maintain hygiene standards, and help with documentation and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Food safety knowledge and safe food handling practices.
• Understanding of IDDSI, allergens and dietary requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with menus and dietary needs.
• Ensure meals meet IDDSI, allergen and texture-modified requirements.
• Deliver meals that are well-presented and at correct temperature.

The role works under the direction of the Home Services Lead and collaboratively with the Chef to ensure meals are enjoyable, consistent and contribute to resident dignity, wellbeing and comfort.As a key member of the kitchen team, the Cook maintains a clean, safe and efficient work environment, follows established procedures and supports positive interactions with residents, families and colleagues.
