Job summary

Calvary The Brelsford - Coffs Harbour is seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team and deliver high-quality meals for residents. Working with the Chef, you will be responsible for food safety, auditing and cooking.

You will bring a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and experience in residential care. We offer above award wages, supportive team environment and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in the residential care or health care sectors.
• Working knowledge of menu planning, ordering, managing stock levels, IDDSI, staff supervision and allergen management.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum)
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Care Competencies)

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals meeting dietary requirements (texture modified, allergen compliant, culturally relevant).
• Ensure meals are fresh, well presented, appetising and aromatic.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and codes.
• Liaise with residents and families to ensure high satisfaction with food services.

About the role

As a Cook you will help our kitchen team and coordinate the delivery of high-quality food services for our residents. Working with the Chef you will be responsible for food safety and auditing and of course cooking!

• Liaise with residents and families to ensure high levels of satisfaction with food services within the Home..
