Aegis Aged Care is seeking a casual cook to cover October leave periods with ongoing casual shifts in the future. You will prepare meals for residents, supervise kitchen staff, and manage stores while maintaining high food safety standards in a modern facility in Western Australia.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, experience with large-scale cooking, and are eligible to work in Australia.

Competenze

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers.
• Aged Care experience (highly regarded).
• High level of food safety knowledge.
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.

Mansioni

About You

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

• Enjoys working with the elderly.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is able to supervise, organise and guide staff, to deliver high quality catering outcomes.
• Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
• Can communicate effectively both verbally and written.

You should possess the following:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
• Aged Care experience (highly regarded).
• A high level of food safety knowledge.
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.

About the Role

A working day will involve:

• Organising kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals.
• Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary plans and menus developed.
• Managing receipt of stores, and food storage according to the relevant regulations.
• Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
