Job summary

C&K North Caloundra Community Child Care Centre is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare nutritious meals for young children in a welcoming early childhood setting. You will work Monday to Friday with a consistent weekly roster, contributing to a safe and caring kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or related discipline) and a Blue Card with Police Check; experience may be considered for unqualified applicants if relevant.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or related discipline) is ideal; unqualified applicants with experience may be considered.
• Valid Blue Card and current Police Check.
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks.
• Cater for a range of dietary, allergy and cultural requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
• Manage food ordering, stock rotation and kitchen budgets.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and hygiene standards.
• Work closely with the centre team to support children's wellbeing.

We're looking for a dedicated Cook to join our North Caloundra team and help create delicious, nutritious meals for young children in a warm and welcoming early childhood environment.
