Job summary

Eden Ritchie Recruitment, on behalf of NAIF, invites applications for a Chief Operating Officer to join the Executive Leadership Team in Cairns. The COO will set strategic direction, lead operational delivery and oversee functions including finance, risk, IT, procurement and program reporting to support portfolio performance and governance.

Qualifications

Significant executive in COO/CFO or equivalent senior leadership position within government or a comparable commercial environment.
Leadership across finance, corporate operations and organisational performance with strong commercial judgement.
Experience navigating governance, compliance and reporting in government, financial services or similarly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and lead all operational activities for NAIF.
Lead a multi-functional team including finance, procurement, IT, reporting and governance.
Advise CEO and Board with commercial and financial insights and drive performance improvements.
Oversee technology, information management, cyber security and data governance initiatives.
Navigate government requirements and ensure accountable delivery of portfolio reporting and analytics.
