Job summary

Allstar Blue is currently seeking experienced Belt Splicers / Conveyor Technicians for Shutdown work in WA. Key responsibilities include Belt Splicing, Repairs, Maintenance and Installations to steel cord, fabric, solid woven and ply belts. Market competitive rates apply.

Requirements: 3–5 years belt splicing/installations experience, strong safety commitment, previous on-site work; inductions (BHP/RIO/FMG) not essential. Point of hire is Perth only.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years belt splicing/installations experience.
• Strong commitment to safety and on-site work.
• Extensive experience with steel cord belts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Belt Splicing, Repairs, Maintenance and Installations to steel cord, fabric, solid woven and ply belts.
• Contribute towards the company’s safety policies.
• Perform hot and cold repairs.
• Perform pulley lagging and apply mechanical clips.
• Identify common belt damage and determine repair methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Belt Splicing, Repairs, Maintenance and Installations to: Steel Cord, Fabric, Solid Woven and Ply belts.
• Contribute towards the companies safety policies
• Perform hot and cold repairs
• Perform pulley lagging and apply mechanical clips
• Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of all forms of Belt Splicing and Installations
• Minimum 3-5 years experienceExtensive Steel cord experience
• Strong commitment to Safety
• Previous experience working on site
• BHP / RIO / FMG Inductions (Not Essential)
• Working @ heights (Not Essential)
• Confined Spaces (Not Essential)
