Job summary

Allstar Blue is recruiting an experienced Belt Splicer / Conveyor Technician to join our client’s conveyor team based in WA. The role will involve workshop duties with occasional site travel across Perth and regional WA, plus overtime when required.

Key duties include belt splicing, repairs and maintenance of steel cord and fabric belts, on-site linings, hot and cold repairs, pulley lagging and ensuring safety policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years experience as a belt splicer / conveyor technician.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels clients, management and team members.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Valid drivers licence.

Responsibilities

• Belt Splicing, repairs and maintenance of steel cord and fabric conveyor belts.
• Perform hot and cold repairs
• Apply linings on site and within the workshop
• Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair.
• Contribute towards the companies safety policies.
• Perform pulley lagging and apply mechanical clips

The Role will mainly consist of workshop duties, however you will be required to travel as and when required to various sites in Perth and WA. You will also be required to work overtime.
