Job summary

Newmont Australia, Boddington, WA, is seeking a Technician, Control Systems Site to maintain and enhance fixed plant control systems across our operation. You will troubleshoot DCS, PLC and SCADA systems and contribute to safe, reliable plant performance.

The role involves drive-in, drive-out site roster with access to multidisciplinary teams, and exposure to leading mining technologies. A relevant technical qualification and hands-on control systems experience are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial control systems in fixed plant environments.
• Experience troubleshooting DCS, PLC and SCADA systems with listed platforms.
• Knowledge of AVEVA PI for data trending and fault finding.
• Understanding IT/OT networks and OT cybersecurity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support availability, performance and continuous improvement of fixed plant control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across networks, hardware, software and telemetry.
• Implement changes and support maintenance, upgrades and projects.
• Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Support OT infrastructure and cybersecurity risk management.
