Job summary

Saunders Automation in Perth is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to contribute to full project delivery—from concept and detailed design through FAT, SAT, commissioning and client handover.

You will design, develop and program control systems across PLC, HMI and SCADA platforms for diverse industries, using Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric and Emerson. Office-based with local site work, you’ll collaborate with a skilled team and uphold Australian Standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with industrial control systems programming.
• White/Blue Card (Construction WHS Induction).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and program control systems across PLC, HMI and SCADA platforms.
• Deliver functional design specs, control philosophy documentation and OT network design.
• Execute FAT, SAT and commissioning plans.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to the wider team.
• Manage work to Australian Standards and company procedures.
