Job summary

Monadelphous is offering a 12-week Summer Vacation Program in Australia for undergraduates to gain hands‑on experience within Commercials & Contracts. You’ll work on real projects and receive strong support from a Graduate buddy and Contracts Manager.

As an undergraduate in Business, Commerce, Law or Construction Management, you’ll contribute to procurement and subcontracting, learn to interpret contract terms, and develop essential negotiation and communication skills through practical

• Studying or having completed an Undergraduate Degree in Australia in Business, Commerce, Law or Construction Management.
• Strong interest in contracts, procurement and commercial terms.
• Previous internships or work experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Understand scope and commercial responsibilities of the Contracts function.
• Learn to interpret and apply head contract and subcontract terms.
• Contribute to procurement and subcontracting processes.
• Assist in supporting and managing subcontractor performance and compliance.
• Identify, assess and administer variations and claims.
• Understand cost control, payment processes and commercial reporting.
• Build professional communication and negotiation skills.

Key responsibilities could include:

What you’ll bring:

• Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency.
• Must be studying or have completed an Undergraduate Degree (Bachelor’s) in Australia within the following areas: Business, Commerce, Law or Construction Management.
• Previous work experience within your chosen field through internships or equivalent is highly desirable.
• A passion for the work we do and the desire to gain hands‑on experience.
