Job summary

Water Corporation is seeking Contracts Specialists in Western Australia to support medium to high-value bid and contract activities in the construction sector. The roles cover end-to-end procurement, bid planning, contract development, and post-award activities, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.

The team offers the chance to work on major projects, build expertise in AS4000 suite contracts, and collaborate with stakeholders across government and industry.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in procurement, purchasing or supply chain or equivalent experience.
• Experience facilitating bid processes, bid/tender packs and evaluation.
• Attention to detail in contract documents (T&Cs, pricing, vendor proposals).
• Knowledge of AS4000 suite, contract forms, Panels and PSPAs.
• Experience with government procurement processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage bid processes for AS4000 construction works, discreet contracts, panels and PSPAs.
• Establish contracts for works and liaise with stakeholders.
• Manage procurement and bid activities through to contract award, including planning, issue to market, evaluations and negotiations.
• Provide guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Water Corporation policies and procedures.

About The Role

We're seeking an experienced proactive individual to support medium to high-value bid and contract activities mainly in the construction area. This role is great for someone looking to extend their experience in the construction field, with opportunities to work on medium to high-value projects and a variety of different areas.

This includes managing the procurement bidding process end to end, developing and establishing medium to high value & complex contracts and agreements mainly for the procurement of construction services works including but not limited to goods and services, minor work, major works, equipment supply & instal, design and construct, consulting services and Panel/Preferred Supplier Agreements.

What You Can Expect With These Roles

• Facilitating and managing bid processes for all types of AS4000 suite construction works, discreet contracts, panels and Preferred Supplier Agreement’s.
• Establishing contracts for the specified works requirements and liaising with key stakeholders.
• Responsible for the procurement and bid activities through to contract award stage including bid planning, bid issue to market, evaluations, contractual negotiations and contract execution, including PO’s and post award activities where required.
• Providing support and guidance to Team Members, Project Teams and Stakeholders.
• Abiding and following the Water Corporation’s Policies and Procedures.

Your Skills And Experience

• Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline &/OR equivalent experience in Procurement, Purchasing and/or Supply Chain, Category Management type roles
• High experience in facilitating bid processes including development of bid/tendering packs, facilitating evaluation processes, conducting commercial analysis of bid submissions, and facilitating contract negotiation, approval and award processes
• Attention to detail in review of contract documentation – Terms and Conditions, Scope refinement, Commercial Pricing Schedules and Vendor Proposals
• Familiarity with general contract terms and conditions, different forms of contracts, AS4000 suite, Panels, Preferred Supplier Agreements, Discreet Contracts, Category Management
• Review and manage legal departures to contractual clauses supported by internal legal team
• Experience in Government &/or GTE &/OR equivalent industry would be advantageous
