Job summary

Fortescue is seeking a Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support contract and procurement activities across our Capital Sustaining Projects Portfolio in Perth, WA. The role focuses on tendering for construction works, services, capital equipment and materials, plus post-award contract administration and close-out.

You will report to the Contracts Manager and collaborate with project teams to support schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• More than five years' experience in contract administration within mining construction projects.
• Experience supporting tendering, sourcing and contract administration activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities across multiple work packages.
• Effective stakeholder engagement with engineering, legal, quality, project controls and logistics teams.
• Professional, respectful approach with initiative to progress work and contribute to team outcomes.
• Alignment with Fortescue's values; commitment to culture and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and evaluate tender packages for construction works, services, capital equipment and materials.
• Conduct sourcing activities in line with project controls and Fortescue's policies and procedures.
• Negotiate contract terms, conditions and pricing to support project requirements.
• Prepare clear, well-structured contract and procurement documentation.
• Identify cost savings opportunities through competitive sourcing.
• Provide reports, analysis and advice to support contract and procurement decisions.
• Identify contract formation risks and coordinate input from technical, legal and other teams.
• Maintain accurate procurement and contract records and reporting for compliance.
• Administer contracts, including correspondence, notices, payment claims and variations.
• Assess payment claims, variations and extensions of time.
• Work collaboratively with the team to support effective contract management and project delivery.
