Job summary

Department of Transport and Planning is seeking a Contracts Manager, Service Operations for a fixed-term 3-year role in Melbourne (CBD). The role ensures commercial and contractual oversight as the Future Public Transport Ticketing system moves from project delivery to ongoing operations.

You will manage compliance, variations and governance with strong stakeholder engagement. The position requires experience in commercial projects, government familiarity is desirable and a relevant tertiary

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience on commercial projects in public and/or private sectors (mandatory).
Experience with State or Federal government (desirable).
Relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, economics, business management or related discipline (desirable).
Pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.

Responsibilities

Provide commercial oversight during the transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations.
Manage compliance, contract variations, negotiations and value-for-money outcomes.
Maintain governance, reporting and stakeholder relationships throughout the transition.
Support informed decision-making with strong commercial risk assessment.
