Job summary

The Department of Transport and Planning in Melbourne is seeking a Contract Manager, Service Operations to guide the transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations for the Future Public Transport Ticketing system.

You will provide commercial and contractual oversight, manage compliance and contract variations, support negotiations and value-for-money outcomes, and maintain governance, reporting and stakeholder relationships across the transition.

About the role

This is a Fixed Term Position for 3 years. The Future Public Transport Ticketing (FPTT) System will replace Myki with a modern account-based ticketing system designed to meet Victoria’s transport needs for the next 15 years and beyond. It will provide greater customer flexibility and support faster changes to fares, policies and products. The Contract Manager, Service Operations supports the transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations. The role provides commercial and contractual oversight, manages compliance and contract variations, supports negotiations and value-for-money outcomes, and maintains effective governance, reporting and stakeholder relationships throughout the transition.

Qualifications and experience

• Demonstrated experience working on commercial projects in either public and/or private sectors. (mandatory)
• Experience working with State or Federal Government (desirable).
• A relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, economics, business management or related discipline is highly regarded (desirable).
