Job summary

GenusPlus Group seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and support delivery of major infrastructure projects across Australia. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Commercial Teams and key stakeholders to oversee contract management, ensure contractual compliance and manage commercial risk while guiding contract administration personnel.

You will bring strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and leadership capability in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Contracts, Commercial Management, Business Law or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial or contract management role, ideally within construction, engineering, utilities, infrastructure or resources industries.
• Knowledge of AS4000 contracts and relevant Australian legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide contract management advice, commercial support and inform commercial strategy to project teams.
• Manage contractual risks, claims, variations, site instructions and progress claims.
• Review and negotiate contract terms, tender submissions and commercial obligations.
• Lead, mentor and develop contract administration personnel while driving strong commercial outcomes.

About The Opportunity

Genus are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and support the successful delivery of major infrastructure, utilities and energy projects across Australia.

Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Teams and key stakeholders, you will oversee contract management processes, ensure contractual compliance, manage commercial risk, and provide leadership and guidance to contract administration personnel.

This role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, contract negotiation expertise and stakeholder management skills, along with a commitment to safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced construction and infrastructure environment.

Your Day-to-day Activities Will Include

• Providing contract management advice, commercial support and inform commercial strategy to project teams.
• Managing contractual risks, claims, variations, site instructions and progress claims.
• Reviewing and negotiating contract terms, tender submissions and commercial obligations.
• Leading, mentoring and developing contract administration personnel while driving strong commercial outcomes.
