Job summary

Alcoa Australia is seeking a Contractor Management Execution Lead based at Huntly, WA, to lead day-to-day execution, control and performance of contractor operations across WA Mining. This permanent role follows a Monday–Friday roster at Huntly Operations, acting as the bridge between governance and field execution to ensure contractor performance is visible and continuously improved.

  • Solid stakeholder engagement skills across operations, HSE, procurement and contractors.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to understand scope, contracts and delivery performance.
  • Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation required; minimum 2 years' leadership experience.

About the Role

As the Contractor Management Execution Lead, based at Huntly, you will lead the day-to-day execution, control and performance of contractor operations across WA Mining. This is a permanent role working on a Monday to Friday roster based at our Huntly Operations. You will play a critical frontline leadership role, ensuring contractors operate safely, meet performance expectations and deliver against operational plans. Acting as the bridge between governance and field execution, you will ensure contractor performance is visible, actively managed and continuously improved.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct oversight of contractor activities in field across pre-mining activities, production, rehabilitation, maintenance and projects
  • Monitor contractor performance against KPIs and drive corrective actions
  • Ensure strong safety leadership and compliance with systems and critical controls
  • Coordinate contractor work with operational plans and site priorities

  • A tertiary qualification in mining, civil, maintenance or a related discipline is desirable but not essential

Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position or have worked in a similar operation or industry to Alcoa.

About the Location

Huntly is one of our two bauxite mines in Western Australia. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA, it is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra alumina refinery. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
